Quality Policy
Summary Statement
It is the policy of the company to provide products and services of a
quality that consistently meet the initial and continuing needs and
expectations of customers in relation to the price and to the nature of
competitive offerings, and in doing so, to be the leader in product quality
reputation. To achieve and sustain a reputation for quality at competitive
prices in the National and International markets for our entire product
range. To provide a product which satisfies the performance, quality,
reliability, and safety requirements of our customers at a fair market
price.
Importance of Quality
Leadership in quality has top priority. Quality shall be given equal
priority to costs and delivery. Managerial decisions must give equal
consideration to quality as well as to aspects of cost and schedule.
Work Force Involvement
Our policy is to foster a spirit of pride among employees regarding the
company's quality performance; to stimulate our co-workers’ creativity,
initiative and sense of responsibility; to provide current skills training
and promote open communications to maximize employee contributions. No
employee of this company will ever be called upon to do anything in the line
of duty that is normally, ethically, or legally wrong.
Quality Improvement
Resources will be allocated primarily to the prevention of defects, and
corrective action will be focused on root-cause identification and
elimination. Preventative quality actions and correction of quality
deficiencies shall be given priority. The quality assurance program should
be designed to emphasize preventative techniques coupled with aggressive
investigation and corrective action programs.
Supplier Relations
To place, whenever possible, the facilities of our research, development,
and technical services at the disposal of our suppliers in order to help
them with any problems they may encounter in supplying materials to our
specifications and to aid them in developing better means for production and
quality improvement. We will work cooperatively with our suppliers to assure
that their materials meet the same standards as our products. We will assure
that our requirements are accurately specified and communicated to
suppliers. We seek to establish long term, open relations with our
suppliers.
Manufacturing Planning
Manufacturing process capability must be verified during development cycle.
Manufacturing equipment shall be able to meet quality requirements with
sufficient margin and at the lowest cost. Process variability and capability
must be understood, and operating procedures clearly specified.
Production
It is the policy to foster involvement and a spirit of pride among employees
by encouraging ideas and resolutions regarding the companys quality
performance. Each employee must accept responsibility for maintaining, and
where possible, improve product quality within the scope of the employee’s
job assignment. All managers are responsible for providing an environment
reflecting quality as the top priority objective, including clearly defining
expectations which provide each employee the maximum opportunity to
contribute.
Marketing – Customer Service
Marketing shall create only such customer expectations as can realistically
be met. Systems must be developed and maintained to provide accurate and
current information on product quality performance and customer acceptance.
Service operations shall be conducted so as to minimize customers’
shutdowns.
Product Safety
Our products shall be free from unacceptable properties that cause damage,
and shall meet applicable standards. All products must comply with
applicable health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations, and with
corporate policy relating to health, safety, and the environment.
